Drug Uses

Cialis (Tadalafil) is a prescription pill which is aimed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Cialis is known to be an ED treatment pill that works in as fast as thirty (30) minutes after ingesting it.

How Taken

Cialis comes in a tablet form and in three doses: 5, 10 and 20mg. Since Cialis (Tadalafil) is a prescription drug, you must consume it in a dosage and manner as per your physician's prescription. This medicine is usually taken once a day only. As for dosage, it all depends upon your doctor's recommendation. For men just starting with Cialis, doctors usually prescribe a dose of 10mg a day.

Warnings/Precautions

Before you attempt at taking this medicine, discuss your thorough medical history with your doctor. Tell him about all medications you are taking and your past and most especially present medical conditions. This will give your doctor enough information to see if you are healthy enough for a sexual activity and if yes, if you were safe to take Cialis (Tadalafil) before any sexual activity.

Cialis is known to work adversely with other forms of medications, such as alpha-blockers and "popper" or recreational drugs containing nitrates. When Cialis is ingested together with these medicines, your blood pressure may drop suddenly to a level that may affect your heart and other vital organs.

Cialis may cause temporary dizziness, especially in the first few times that you have taken it. So, before you do any physical activities, check first how your body reacts to it. Until you are sure how to manage its effects to your body, only then that you can operate heavy machinery and drive. Still, observe precaution when doing these activities.

Lactose intolerant are not recommended to take Cialis since this medicine contains a low level of lactose. It is also discouraged to add Grapefruit in a Cialis patient's diet to prevent experiencing side-effects. If you can, don't drink alcohol to avoid a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Missed Dose

As for back and muscle aches, it will go away within the next 48 hours. Not all patients experience back and muscle pains. But those who do had reportedly experienced these side effects 12 to 14 hourse after ingesting the medicine.

A few patients experience flushing while some gets stuffy or runny nose. These may or may not be due to Cialis. But if these bother you, contact your doctor immediately.

In case of Cialis overdose or if overdose is suspected, rush to the nearest emergency room to get the proper treatment. Excess Cialis in the bloodstream is usually eliminated through Hemodialysis.
